“I am Unique” FSMC Student Wins Children’s Mental Health Matters Poster Contest!
Our tenth-grade student at The Foundation School of Montgomery County was selected as the winner of the Children’s Mental Health Matters’ 18th annual poster contest! This is the third time one of our students’ artwork has been recognized during the annual mental health campaign. In his art, our student represents the nuanced journey of mental wellness through a self portrait, saying “Good mental health is like a puzzle. How the pieces go together and the picture they make is unique for each person.” We’re honored to continue to participate in this special event this year. As our schools work with students who struggle with mental health challenges, learning disabilities, and developmental delays, we know how important it is for young people to have a healthy relationship with their mental health. Moments like these remind us that we can all raise awareness in our own ways to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. Congratulations to our student at FSMC!
